Fabrizio Famà
Fabrizio graduated in Physics at the University of Pisa in 1990.
He spent 14 years in R&D and Operation, at Dalmine (Ilva group), Texas Instruments and Micron Technology. He learnt and applied methodologies like the Statistical Process Control, the Design of Experiment and the Design for Manufacturability, working also abroad in projects of technology transfer and development.
Then he decided to nurture his new interest about people management that, starting from 2004, became his new field of work. He covered several positions at Micron Technology and LFoundry, a management buy-out of which he was shareholder and component of the Board of Directors, covering the functional role of Vice President of HR & Corporate Affairs for the group (Italy-Germany-Bulgaria).
After the takeover from a Chinese group on 2019, he covered the HR Director position.
He likes to keep a sound knowledge of technology evolution. He built the network that allowed LFoundry to participate to several EU funded programs on R&D and environmental topics, and he was in the steering team that made the IPCEI on microelectronics become a reality. Today he is a member of the Advisory Committee of the ATOM (open infrastructure for Advanced TOmography and Microscopies) centre, for the characterization of materials and devices.
The experience and the background allows him to adopt the language of the different functions, understanding challenges, opportunities and risks, with the ability to deploy the company’s objectives in functional goals and then lead the recruiting/development of the hard/soft skills needed.
Fabrizio can manage reorganizations and restructuring, through building effective relations with the main stakeholders, including Institutions and Unions. He is Hogan certified and hold certifications by Rina as temporary manager, sustainability manager and digital transformation expert.
